It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

What I'm looking for:
Everything! Wolves, foxes, fennec foxes, ferrets, servals, bobcats, tigers, other big cats, small cats, deers, dragons, gryphons, dogs, birds, hybrids, original species.. bring it!
I'm leaving the details to your imagination, but here are some things I really like:
-White base color with black and red markings<33 (mostly on canines)
-Cute and fluffy things! No need to go all big eyes and oversized heads, but animals with fur. Creepy and slimy things just aren't my thing.. Still don't be afraid to make something dark/evil
-Anything tribal
-Native american stuff
-Feathers!
-Tawny, golden, brown, white, red, blue, cyan, gray, black (well, not all combined)
-I like more natural base colors, but with smaller markings in unnatural colors like blue or red

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Callibrate your Wacom tutorialHad you  finally  made  the transition from intuos 3 to intuos 4?, or Are you rich to change into an intuos 5? Had you made the transition from a first generation cintiq  to the new ones?. More levels of pressure will mean  more quality to the paintings, am i right?. 
Did you thought that by default the pen will it be like using butter on bread?, you try it for the first time and you love all of it, you said i have sooooooo much control on my strokes im having a blast. Then only  to realize you only have total control of the brush but when you are moving it really slow?. But when you do quick strokes the pressure drops a lot of paint making you redraw tons of stuff?
Did you ever thought that painter its hard to handle with new tablet? Too much pressure? If it has more pressure why i cant control more easier the beggining of the stroke which is more crucial?.

Film and Graphic novel news

Hey DA, I wanted to share some news with you. As some of you know in April I left the gig at Ignition entertainment. At the time it was a little depressing because I left behind some good friends and talented artist who wanted to finish the project with me. In the last 2 months I've been returning to my roots and creating art. Though I enjoy art directing especially if I have a great team to work with, there is simply nothing like creating art yourself and envisioning whole worlds, scenes, characters and creatures etc, this is what I really enjoy and live for.

I've always felt that my work was best suited for story telling be it a single illustration a character design or a comicbook, film etc. I also feel like the level of detail I put in some of my work was suited more for illustration and film then games, though the technology used to visualize and play games is coming closer to cinema, It's not quite there but it's coming along.

Well now it's all coming together as I will be working on a big feature film and will disclose info as I am allowed to in the future.

The other part of the news is that I also will be working with Radical comics on a new series/graphic novel which will be my first comicbook/sequential work. I cannot disclose any other info on either project but I can say that the graphic novel will be fully painted.

So just when I thought my career was maxing out I'm thrown another wave of adventure and wonderment that my art has brought to me, it's very crazy at times to think what I will get myself into next or should I say what my art will get me into :). Just read the previous Journal entry to see how crazy a life of an artist can be.

If I dont post as often you now know what I will be doing, but the good thing when the work is done and ready to show there will be a good chunk.

I'll do my best to keep DA informed of my whereabouts and projects.

Congratulations, and well deserved! You've singlehandedly convinced me to watch John Carter of Mars when it comes out! :-) Best of luck, I can't wait to see the results (and the graphic novel, too)...

I'm still a young artist/college student trying to find her way in the world, so I can only imagine right now how its like. It sounds like my kind of thing though. One of these days...

Congrats on both of the jobs you got though; sounds like you got your work cut out for you. I've always liked Radical comics so I'm sure it won't disappoint. But your work never disappoints, so yeah. :P

Excellent news ! Look up an artist by the name of..get ready " Ivan the Cat " . Its his real name ! I knew Ivan in high school . He was into illustration and doing Heavy Metal style comics ( submitted and had 2 story's printed )in the back of his dad's studio , tons of airbrush stuff back in the day . Last I heard, he had gone on to do storyboards for major hollywood films and stuff like that . Point being, from small town Canada to the lights of Hollywood , your art can take you anywhere you desire . Variety, eet eez ze spice of life , no!? OUI ! =)
