I so would not want to walk in to her in a dark alley.. She looks amazing, strong & proud! Love All of the personality, mood, setting, details, lighting and framing et al... and all the time to do it in real oils!! YAY!! yes wacom can be rather spoiling and are great for creating lovely work but really glad to see this piece in oil!
I don't get why she's naked and still has the crown and the cape it's technically amazing, I love the palette of colours etc, but I guess that her body is somehow too detailed and too bright comparing to the background... just my impression
Great observation Aeterne. I would have liked to blend her more into the environment and make her a bit darker. The problem with an oil painting once its dry it would take a few more hours to do this. No excuse ofcourse but I thought about that as well.
As far as being naked..lol it was a comissioned piece so the buyer wanted her naked, I have no problem with that since I do so many armored characters etc, gets me a chnace to practice my anatomy.
you have no idea I kept trying to press ctrl-z. I think this generation is so lucky to have software like photoshop when I was starting my illustration career photoshop was only a dream. It was all done by hand , paint, graphite etc. It's a great way to learn.
Wow! Now this is a sight for sore eyes! Absolutely gorgeous piece and I love the media here...digital painting is great but oils is King! LOL! Completely wicked scene and amazing details and colors, this is just TOO good for my monitor! Superb art!
