Now THAT is what the Fair Folk are supposed to look like. :3
Beautiful work, the amount of detail is impressive and the lighting is perfect. The forest looks so wild, primordial, magical but in a the most terrifying way, like something's lurking in every shadow... Love it, love it, love it!
This captures woodland elves beautifully, like how they blend ever so naturally into their environment. Although my central focus is the elf princess in the center I am intrigued by what's going on in the background. It's things like this that really draw my imagination in.
Interestingly enough I bought that book about three weeks ago largely due to the beautiful cover work. Of course I no idea that I would stumble onto your work here on DA.
I have awlays wished my work had some type of public exposure. The thought that strangers will pick something up like a book or a poster and admire the work and talent of someone who is a mystery to them is fascinating.
My work is yet to don much more than this little webspace, and occasionally a commission or two for someones home... But I am unsure that I would be the artist I am today if not for illustrations and cover peices.
I remember reading goosebumps as a kid and obsessing over the covers as I wondered about the person behind the signature donning each peice. I admit that the cover of this book reminded me of those same awe struck younger days. (though the peice lacks a signature
Anyway, it was nice to see and have the oppurtunity to comment

Great painting, I usually like your oil paintings better than the digital, but this one is just great. I really like the range of greens you used, it makes it feel natural yet more interesting than a typical nature scene.
